Telford Bridge at Invermoriston

Our nearest village, which has the famous Telford Bridge, Invermoriston Falls and a very nice pub called the 'Glenmoriston' as well as a clog and craft shop. Which is either a short 3 mile walk on the Great Glen Way or car drive from us

Fort Augustus Locks

5 miles (6 minute) drive south from the site is Fort Augustus which again offers shops, restaurants and cafes along with an impressive flight of locks on the Caledonian Canal, a perfect spot for boat watching.

Borlum Bay, Loch Ness

Just a short drive on the B862 on the South Side of the Loch leads you to this stunning view

Loch Tarff

A short 9 mile (17 minute) drive from us, on the south side of Loch Ness will lead you to Loch Tarff following the B862 where you can also do the South Loch Ness Trail

Take a boat trip on the Loch

Boat trips on Loch Ness run regularly from Fort Augustus (6 minute drive from us) and offer a different aspect of the famous Loch.

Cairngorm reindeer

The Centre in Glenmore is open from the February half-term holidays right through the year to early January. A daily guided hill trip with one of our experienced reindeer herders takes visitors up onto the mountainside where the main herd live all year round, and the paddocks and exhibition in Glenmore offer an alternative easier way to see the reindeer for those unable to make the hill trip. Glenfinnan Viaduct

The famous Glenfinnan viaduct, the one Harry Potter flies over also carries the railway to Glenfinnan Station across a 1,000 ft span, 100 ft above the ground. Skye

The Isle of Skye is the largest and most northerly major island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. Dominated by the Cuillins, the rocky slopes of which provide some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the country. It is well worth a visit to see the Old Man of Storr, Fairy pools and Portree Harbour and the Skye Bridge which links it to the mainland. It is a do-able 85 mile (2 hr) journey from us to Portree Harbour by car
